November 7, 1997

  • Added an errata doc for the Combat Operations public beta 1 to the Beta Games section. Updated the beta from comopsb1.pdf to comopsb1a.pdf to include the errata in the doc.
  • Slowly changing all email references in the site to our new email address, bonegames@bonegames.com. The old one still works, but we would like to transition away from it.

November 4, 1997

  • QVN public beta 2 made available in the Beta Games section. Yes, yet another take at this naval combat game... THIS time we got it right!

  • Added the Freefall v2.0b Questions & Answers page.
  • Changed the Beta page to point to the Freefall v2.0b Questions & Answers page. Cosmetic changes to the paragraph format.
  • Reordered the Ramblings page so that the columns are in reverse order (newest to oldest). Added the monthly publication date for all of the Ramblings listed. Cosmetic changes to the paragraph format.

  • Editor's Note: In not even a month at our new web home, BoneGames has distributed almost 6000 games, over 350 of our newest beta game Freefall!

  • Changed top page marquee to announce our newest beta release - Freefall.
  • Posted Freefall to the beta section - check it out!
  • Added new Designer Notes; Freefall: Introduction to the Beta.
  • Editor's Note: our website move went well. Over the next few updates we may be adding new features to the website, as now possible. Let us know if you have any problems with the new site.

June 4, 1997

  • Changed top page warning about our website move. Should be another few days of getting things straightened out before we are all back to normal.
  • We are very close to releasing our newest beta - Freefall, the next revolution of LNL... Check back soon for it!

May 22, 1997

  • Added top page warning about our impending website move. "We are moving our website! The address will be the same, but over the next several days you may experience inconsistent behavior. We apologize for this, but think you will agree the change will have been worth it!"
  • Once moved we will be back to updating the site every month, and will have a brand new beta available as well! (Freefall, the next revolution of LNL...)

  • Added new Designer's Notes column, discussing several of our games in progress (See Designer Notes April 97). Sort of a preview of upcoming titles...
  • Added a new link to our list of other interesting pages, Cheapass Games, a gaming company who BoneGames would love to see succeed!
  • Made some minor changes to clean up some HTML loose ends.

  • Added new Designer's Notes column on EOR, a randomization system we use of some of our games (See Designer Notes March 97).
  • Our hit tracking reports have changed, which has forced us to change how we will be tracking what games are getting downloaded in what quantity.

  • Updated link to the Web Grognards.
  • New public version beta of Royal Wars made available.
  • Note: Things have very busy for us lately, so things on the site slowed down a bit. The good news is we have some great new games in the works, and are targeting a January release date for the new betas.

  • Received a note about a Linux PDF viewer, and updated main page with the url to reflect that.
  • Interesting Trivia: Barnard's Star has had over 50 downloads since we made it available on Aug 28.

  • Added new section called Guest Games, in which we feature a non-BoneGames game. The first Guest Games is Barnard's Star, by Kerry Anderson.
  • Made some minor changes to clean up some other pages.

  • Added relevant info to each page to reflect that the BoneGames site has now been rated according to the RSAC system. See http://www.rsac.org for more information.

  • Queen Victoria's Navy, a new naval combat game, has been added to the beta page, with the front page reflecting that.
  • Scrolling marquee will now headline the latest significant change to the site; which is QVN's beta this time around.
  • Not a change, but neat info anyway.... We now average almost 1000 game downloads a month! WOW!

  • After many requests, Bruce has released an Addendum to the Sovereign Seas Lite game system. See SSL page for details.

  • Royal Wars is now in public beta, and so was added to the main page and to the beta page.
  • A new game went into private beta, Queen Victoria's Navy, a naval combat game.

  • Added separate page to notate changes to site (this page).
  • Changed URL for beta page, is now at the bonegames.com address.
  • Removed NEW VERSION from The Barons of Fyn.
